This comic strip is making an argument about the environment. It is comparing our environmental/climate change problems to the medical field as if it were a disease being diagnosed to someone. It is making the statement that people would rather or are more likely to wait around and see how climate change will affect our environment than to start doing things to fix the problem. People could start being more environmentally friendly, recycle, and take other actions to help see results in the environment, but instead of that they simply just wait around and wait for it to get worse. This comic compares a treatment for a disease to a solution for climate change and uses satire to elicit a reaction in the audience. If a person were diagnosed with a fatal disease, they would never actually "wait around and see" especially when the disease is treatable, so why are people doing that with climate change problems? The author of this comic wants people to realize that our climate change problems are very damaging to our future, but there are actual ways that we can "treat" and solve this problem.
